About Cibolo Creek Woodworks

My name is Tom Doran, and woodworking has been a constant thread throughout my life — from my early years serving as a Texas State Trooper to a long career as a custom home builder. No matter what I was doing, I always found my way back to the wood.

Cibolo Creek Woodworks is named for the creek that runs just a few miles from my shop here in the Texas Hill Country — a place that feels like home in every sense of the word. Every cutting board, serving board, charcuterie board, and custom piece I make is crafted by hand right here, with the same attention to detail I brought to every home I built.

My time in law enforcement gave me a deep respect and appreciation for the men and women who serve — first responders, law enforcement, and military members who put themselves on the line every day. That community will always have a special place in this shop.
